New Advanced Filtered Water System Installed in Limassol

CUT Partners with 'Let’s Make Cyprus Green' for Sustainable Water Initiative

The Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) and the environmental non-profit organization, "Let's Make Cyprus Green," have announced the installation of an advanced filtered water system in the courtyard of the CTU's "Andreas Themistocleous" building, located on Athenon Street in Limassol.

This installation was made possible through the generous sponsorship of "Let's Make Cyprus Green." The initiative aims to provide high-quality drinking water for free, reduce the use of plastic bottles, and incorporate the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals into the university's operational pillars. Specifically, this initiative aligns with Goal 6 "Clean Water and Sanitation," Goal 9 "Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure," Goal 12 "Responsible Consumption and Production," and Goal 13 "Climate Action."

Members of the CTU community, as well as residents, workers, and visitors to Limassol's center, now have access to clean drinking water at no cost, using this modern and automated system.

Let's Make Cyprus Green is focused on raising public awareness about the negative impact on the planet due to the high volume of waste we produce and the indiscriminate use of plastics.
